Models of health and healing and personality
Models of health and healing and personality preferences based on the Keirsey Temperament test
1. Talk about the differences between two models of health and healing (e.g., physical body, body-mind, body-mind-spirit/bio-psycho-social) and how they relate to what it means to be human.
2. Compare and contrast one of the models from Part A1 with your own professional presence (i.e., current beliefs, attitudes, and actions regarding health and healing).

3. Talk about how your professional presence (whether you are paying attention or not) affects how you do your job as a nurse.
B. Choices Based on Personality
1. Send in the results of the Keirsey Temperament Inventory.
Note: Only the Temperament Mini Report from Keirsey.com should be sent in. You can send in a screenshot of the results or copy and paste them into a document.
2. Look at your test results, including the parts that may or may not match how you see yourself.
a. Think about how the test results match up with your relationships, favorite things to do, and career choices.
b. Talk about two possible problems or roadblocks (e.g., in communication or making decisions) that could be lessened by your increased self-awareness when working with people with different personality types.
C. Practicing mindfulness
1. Make a plan for your mindfulness practice that fits your interests, goals, and beliefs. To do this, do the following:
a. Set two specific goals for each of your four Aspects (physical, vital/rhythmic, mental/emotional, and biographical/spiritual body) to stay in balance.
b. Talk about how you’ll reach each of the goals you made in part C1a, including how you’ll adjust to how your whole self is changing.
Models of health and healing and personality D. Places that help people heal
1. Look at two of the best environments for healing in health care to find out what the internal, interpersonal, behavioral, and external environments have in common.
2. Talk about how you plan to use the self-awareness and insights you gained in part D1 to improve your professional presence in the healthcare setting where you work now.
E. Use APA format for all in-text citations and references when you use sources.
Note: The Rubric Terms web link in the Evaluation Procedures section has definitions of terms that are often used in the rubric.
Note: When using sources to back up ideas and parts of a performance assessment, the submission MUST have APA-styled in-text citations and a reference list for any direct quotes or paraphrases. It is not necessary to list the sources that were used if they were not quoted or paraphrased in the performance assessment.
Note: No more than 30% of a submission can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from another source, even if it is cited correctly. For tips on how to use a grading rubric in the APA style, please visit:
