How to write a Personal legislative agenda nursing essay (Solved)
My legislative agenda will focus on increasing access to healthcare services in underserved communities. Concentrating on this legislative plan will equip in providing access to quality healthcare that is both affordable and accessible to all underserved communities. This includes expanding Medicaid, increasing community health centres’ availability, and funding telehealth services (Porche, 2023). However, I would prioritize training and providing resources to community health workers to provide culturally competent healthcare services to underserved populations. Additionally, my legislative agenda aims to set forth a strategy for advocating for increased access to healthcare services in underserved communities. This agenda is based on the research and analysis of the political determinants of health, evidence-based policymaking, political theory and practice, and public health policy advocacy. The strategy outlined in this agenda will move this policy through the legislative process and ensure that underserved communities have access to quality healthcare services.
My legislative plan aims to Increase access to healthcare services in underserved communities, increase awareness of the importance of healthcare services in underserved communities, and educate the public about the benefits of increased access to healthcare services (Association of Public Health Nurses Public Health Policy Committee, 2021). However, the objective includes developing and implementing a strategy for advocating for increased access to healthcare services in underserved communities, identifying relevant stakeholders in the legislative process, effectively communicating the importance of increased access to healthcare services in underserved communities, and advocating for and securing passage of the policy.
The Stakeholders to champion the legislative agenda include the policymakers, healthcare providers, community providers, advocacy organizations, patients, their families and the general public. Strategies I will employ in this legislative plan include educating stakeholders: This strategy will involve engaging in conversations with stakeholders to educate them on the importance of increased access to healthcare services in underserved communities. This will include providing information on the benefits of increased access to healthcare services and the impact of inadequate access on health outcomes. Building relationships is also a strategy I will involve to gain their support for the policy. This will include meeting stakeholders to discuss the procedure and its implications and engaging in conversations to gain support. Engaging in the legislative process is effective in advocating for the policy (White, 2018). This will include researching and understanding the legislative process, contacting legislators to discuss the procedure, and attending hearings to provide testimony supporting the policy.
I will develop several action plans in this legislative agenda, including educating the stakeholders. Educating the stakeholders will involve identifying the stakeholders, developing educational materials, developing educational materials educating the stakeholders on the policy. Scheduling meetings can do this with the stakeholders. Networking is another action plan I will adopt by Identifying relevant events and online networks, Attending events to discuss the policy and engaging in online networks to share information (Rees, 2013).
Timeline is effective in working on the legislative agenda. The timeframe for my legislative agenda includes Month 1: Educating Stakeholders and Building Relationships, Month 2: Networking and engaging in the Legislative Process, and Month 3: Digital and Online Activism.
In conclusion, my legislative agenda has outlined a strategy for advocating for increased access to healthcare services in underserved communities. This strategy focuses on educating stakeholders, building relationships, networking, engaging in the legislative process, and utilizing digital and online activism to build support for the policy. This agenda will guide the campaign and help ensure the policy is successfully advanced through the legislative process.

- Death Investigations and the Role of the Forensic Nurse Custom Essay Death Investigations and the Role of the Forensic Nurse INTRODUCTION “Above all, realize that nursing care doesn’t have to stop because a patient has expired. We can do so much more for people who suffered questionable deaths by focusing on forensics. Nurses can help families gain closure and assist law enforcement with their investigations because we have cared enough to maintain the integrity of the evidence.” (Erricksen, 2008, p. 43) This quote from Debbie Rice, RN, NREMT, an emergency nurse at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL, could be used to help define the role of forensic nurses in death investigations. All nurses, first and foremost, must care for their patients. That caring does not end when the patient is dead, but can help the death investigator to the best job possible in assisting in investigating the cause and manner of death.
