Students will identify the correct pathway of blood flow through the heart Materials Heart models Directing tray and tools Sheep heart Introduction Understanding the function of the heart first requires an understanding of its anatomy. In this lab, you will work with a heart model to identify the major anatomical structures of the heart. Once you can identify the structures on the model, you will then dissect a sheep heart, which has many similarities to a human heart.
